The world first MEB platform NEV plant of Volkswagen Group broke ground at Anting in October 2018. The first model of MEB platform ID.4 X rolled off-line in November 2019 and the mass production began in October 2020. In April.2021, ID.6 X, the second SUV model of MEB platform has been unveiled. In the future, the new plant will continually put new BEVs from multiple brands into production based on the MEB platform.
