The University now has three campuses, located respectively in Qingdao, Tai’an and Jinan, covering a total area of 253 hectares with a floor space of 1.46 million square meters. The total value of fixed assets of the university reached to 3 billion yuan, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 800 million yuan. The University comprises 32 academic colleges and 5 research institutions. There are 9 centers for post-doctoral studies, 10 first-tier disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees and 27 first-tier disciplines authorized to confer master degrees; 16 disciplines to confer master’s degrees and 93 undergraduate programs. Journal of Shandong University of science and Technology (natural science edition) is a national core Chinese journal and a science and technology core journal. The Science and Technology Park of the university is jointly recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education as the "National University Science and Technology Park" and the "College Students' Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Practice Base".
